There are currently over 60 corporate partners in the CEMS community, including top tier companies like McKinsey & Co., Nokia, HSBC, and Nestle. CEMS corporate partners are involved throughout the program, with activities such as skill seminars, recruiting events, collaborating on business projects, and block seminar participation forming a strong bridge between the academic and corporate worlds. Below you can read about what makes the collaboration between the CEMS community and CEMS corporate partners so special, the annual CEMS Career Forum, events with corporate partners in Copenhagen, as well as the upcoming Nordic Forum in Copenhagen in 2011.

What is it that makes the collaboration between the CEMS community and the CEMS corporate partners so special?
One of the things that makes CEMS a truly unique program is the closely intertwined relation between the students and the Corporate Partners. This is first and foremost apparent through the seminars and events organized by the central CEMS organization and the official local CEMS coordinators. On top of that, however, students are also able to take initiative in order to fully exploit the extraordinary alliance that we have with these companies. This is where the Corporate Partners Committees of the local CEMS Clubs come into the picture. It is our responsibility to make sure the students feel that they get as much out of the corporate partnerships as possible. We aspire to be percipient and listen to the needs and wishes of the CEMS students at CBS and to organize the corporate events necessary to fill the gap between what students demand and what the central organization is able to supply.
What is the annual CEMS Career Forum?
The annual career forum brings together students, alumni, and more than 40 corporate partners during two full days of interactive events. On day one, students and corporate partners are able to interact via MIM-accredited skills seminars. These represent a one-off chance for CEMS Corporate Partners to share knowledge with a truly international group of students, who in return have a great opportunity to meet the academic requirements of the programme and to learn from business professionals. The day concludes with a dedicated Speed-Networking meeting and a Networking cocktail and dinner for Corporate Representatives and CEMS Academic Members. Day two provides a host of networking and recruiting activities through a job fair, pre-scheduled interviews, walk-in interviews, company exhibition stands, and company presentations.
Events with Corporate Partners in Copenhagen
In the end of last semester, the Corporate Partner Committee organized a lunch event with Siemens where the students were invited to Siemens' Danish Headquarters outside of central Copenhagen. This was an excellent opportunity for the students to get to know the company and the possibilities of a future career at Siemens. The event started with a presentation by John Finnich Pedersen, Communications director at Siemens, where after the students were invited to an informal lunch with some corporate representatives.
This semester we hope to be able to organize a company visit to one of Denmark’s largest multinational companies. It is our impression that the international students currently visiting CBS would find it very interesting to get some insight on how an a "local multinational" has gained its industry leadership.
The Nordic Forum
The CCC Corporate Partners Committee and the Nordic Forum Committee are currently working hard on the preparation of the Nordic Forum - an annual event organized by one of the four Nordic academic partners of CEMS. Next year in March, it has fallen upon the CBS CEMS community to host this student organized event. We are looking forward to three days of skill seminars, company presentations and social activities. If you are interested in more information about the Nordic Forum, please contact a representative from the Nordic Forum Committee.
