CEMS was founded in 1988 in Europe and is today a global alliance of multinational corporations and institutions of higher education. CEMS sets a pan-European standard of excellence in management education through its unique Master's in International Management (CEMS MIM) degree program, taught at each of its member universities.
The CEMS MIM was ranked 2nd in Financial Times’ 2010 European rankings of Master’s in Management programs (down from number 1 in 2009). Four CEMS schools are ranked in the top 10 and 14 are in the top 50. The rankings demonstrates the ability of CEMS graduates to excel in international management positions.

Admission to the CEMS MIM requires students to satisfy the following recruitment criterion: high academic achievement, proficiency in at least 3 languages, international outlook, interpersonal skills and a desire to achieve.
The curriculum demands 45 ECTS CEMS credits, an internship abroad, an exchange program at another CEMS school, an intensive blocked seminar, a real-life business project and four management skills workshops.

CEMS students have the creative aptitude needed to meet the challenges of today’s rapidly changing business world. This creativity stems from the theoretical and practical knowledge learned from the CEMS studies and work terms abroad.

Founded in 1993 by CEMS graduates, the Association is a truly international network whose members maintain lasting contact with each other, whilst living and working throughout the world. There are currently over 5,000 CEMS alumni worldwide.
